FreeWheeling is a funky application that lets you record and play multiple samples in realtime, so that they stay looping and can be overlayed one after the other: is a fresh tool to manipulate, sum and and create over recorded sounds, but requires you to read some instructions before start using it, since it's all controlled via keyboard (and, optionally, midi).
